Discover the benefits of a virtual assistant for your success

We all know the feeling – the constant struggle to juggle daily commitments and business growth. But what if I told you there was a way to manage this chaos? What if you have a person by your side who supports you and works with you to realise your goals and take on tasks?
That sounds great, doesn’t it?

What is a virtual assistant?

Here’s a little historical digression: Almost 20 years ago, American entrepreneur and workaholic Tim Ferris decided to outsource his private time wasters to an Indian provider of virtual assistant services. The personal assistants took over pretty much everything from researching his business to finding and booking salsa courses and Ferris used the time to write his bestseller ‘The 4-Hour Workweek’. Ferriss triggered a worldwide boom in the virtual assistant industry, which had been relatively unknown until then, and this development came to Germany in 2008. But it wasn’t until 2020 that a global pandemic really got this business model rolling.

Back to the present: in a world where time is precious and every detail counts, working with a virtual assistant is more than just a luxury – it’s a game changer.
The versatility of a VA spans a wide range of activities, from organising the back office to fine-tuning newsletter and email marketing. But it’s not just about managing day-to-day tasks – it’s about freeing you up to focus on your most important goal: turning your vision into reality. The benefits of working with a virtual assistant are numerous, firstly there’s the time factor, but optimising the use of your resources allows you to focus on your core competencies and grow your business.
It’s not just about delegating tasks – it’s about creating a partnership based on trust and mutual success.

Benefits of working with a virtual assistant

Working with a virtual assistant has many advantages and I have listed a few here.

Increased efficiency and time savings
A virtual assistant is not just a helping hand, but a valuable time management tool. By taking care of time-consuming tasks such as scheduling, email management and administrative work, you can focus on the essential aspects of your business and increase your productivity.

Cost savings and flexibility
OK, you save on labour costs and don’t have to pay social security contributions because I’m self-employed and all ancillary costs are covered. But more importantly, you can use me flexibly – one month I work more on one project, the next month I work less. This means that my time can be utilised more efficiently and adapted to changing requirements.

Access to expertise and resources
I bring a broad spectrum of expertise and experience to the collaboration, I worked for a long time as a management assistant in Switzerland and abroad, I have a Bachelor of International Management and I always attend specific further training courses and am in dialogue with other experts. As a result, I benefit from an enormous network of exchange and, of course, my clients also benefit from this.

Focus on core competences and business growth
By delegating tasks that lie outside your core competences, you can focus on what you do best: developing your business. A virtual assistant allows you to spend your time and energy where the greatest added value can be created and the business can grow in the long term.

The best executive assistant is someone who is not only great at getting things done but also knows how to anticipate needs and keep things running smoothly.

Who needs a VA and why?

A virtual assistant can work with a wide range of people, including entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals, freelancers and executives in various industries. Whether you’re running a small start-up, managing an established business or working as a freelancer, a virtual assistant offers support tailored to your specific needs. She can help you manage your daily tasks, organise administrative work or manage technical aspects of your projects. Even if you are a busy manager who wants to focus on strategic decisions or a creative entrepreneur who wants to have more time for innovative ideas, a virtual assistant is just the right support for you. She brings expertise and flexibility to help you achieve your goals more efficiently and effectively.

What can a virtual assistant do for you? Let’s take a look at some exciting examples of who my clients are:

Board members
Thanks to my many years of experience as an executive assistant, I know that being a member of the Board of Directors involves many tasks and, depending on the mandate, extensive administrative activities. This includes preparing for and following up on meetings, arranging appointments and replying to emails. As a virtual assistant, I can take over these tasks so that you can concentrate on strategic decisions without getting lost in the administrative details.

Guest lecturers
Yeah, your expert knowledge is in demand and you can pass it on to students. That’s great, but it also involves a lot of work. Coordinating appointments, writing expense reports and preparing teaching materials can be time-consuming. This is where I can relieve you by taking on these administrative tasks and helping you to focus on teaching and sharing your expertise.

Small businesses and start-ups
Especially when you start a new company, resources are often scarce and the workload is high. A virtual assistant can help you manage administrative tasks. This allows you to focus on growing your business while the day-to-day tasks are completed efficiently.

Freelancers and creatives
For freelancers and creatives who spend a lot of time on projects and little on administrative tasks, a virtual assistant is a great help. I can take over tasks such as managing assignments, invoicing and creating project reports, leaving you more time for your creative endeavours.

An executive assistant is like a conductor of an orchestra, ensuring that all the elements work in harmony.

The path to greater efficiency and growth often begins with the right support. As it is often said in the business world: ‘The best support comes from the best partners.’ A virtual assistant can not only help you manage administrative tasks, but also help you focus on what’s important. Whether you’re a board member, guest lecturer or entrepreneur, the benefits of a VA are clear: flexibility, focus and access to expert knowledge. Many self-employed people or entrepreneurs find it difficult to hand over tasks, because delegation also needs to be learnt. Or can you repair a burst water pipe? I’d rather call in the experts.

Take the opportunity to optimise your workload and realise your full potential. I look forward to a no-obligation chat to explore how I can help you achieve your business goals.
